just returned from a few days up north in Cervantes, Geraldton & Kalbarri seeing the wildflowers & other lovely attractions. The wildflowers at Kalbarri are excellent this year & will keep improving over the next month or so.

The Pink Lake at Port Gregory was also very pink in clour & just an amazing & almost eerie sight to see. Kalbarri waterfront with river & rivermouth & ocean are just as beautiful as ever & a truly wonderful place to stay. The sunsets were fantastic & the georges a stunning contrast to the coastal cliffs & ocean views of the townsite.

Wildflowers will also improve at Cervantes & Mount Leseur over the next month or so & this can be done as an easy day tour from Perth.

well winter is providing us with much-needed rain for our dams & also our native bush & forests. This is shaping up well for a good wildflower season in late August through to December, with September being the best month as the first month of our Spring season.

Bookings need to be made early if accommodation is involved, either up north in Cervantes or Kalbarri, or down south in Margaret River or Albany. Our wildflowers attract visitors from all around the world & accommodation can be booked out during this time at certain locations.

we have had some worried friends & family who have seen the media coverage of the recent Perth fires & wondered if we were safe.

Although it is devastating that nearly 100 homes have been damaged or destroyed in these fires, the reality is they have been confined to a relatively small area of Perth suburbs in the north-east. The fires were in an area that we normally do not visit on our tours, so we have not had to make any adjustments to our normal day tour itineraries.

Australia has certainly had some very severe weather recently with the east-coast having flooding & the cyclone, & now Perth with these destructive fires. We will continue to donate money to those affected as a percentage of our business income as well as our own personal donations.

We aim to be involved in our community as a business & to try & help those that need it wherever we can. We know that many other businesses are also helping out which is just great to see. We know that it will take time but homes will be rebuilt & people will get their lives back together. Those of us not affected can only feel very grateful for everything we have.

I know many of our friends overseas are very worried about all of us in Australia due to the devastating flooding in many parts of the country. I am sure that the scenes being shown by the media are very concerning & disturbing, as they are to all Australians also. So here are some facts about how Perth is being affected.

The good news is we have no flooding at all in Perth or any of our surrounding towns & regional areas that we regularly visit on our tours. The flooding that has occurred in WA is in the far north of the state & very far away from Perth. Whilst the flooding is far away, we have had bush fires closer to Perth south of Mandurah, about an hour & a half from Perth. Families have unfortunately lost homes & all their possessions in this disaster also.

As Aussies we help each other in times of need & we have already donated to the aid efforts to help the families of these disasters. We will continue to help as much as we can by donating money from all of our tours this month & will review what else we can do beyond this time. We encourage anyone that can make a donation to please do so to help these families who have in many cases lost everything.

For anyone planning to come to Perth, there is no disruption or restriction, so you can be confident these terrible disasters will not affect your visit. Our weather is still very sunny & hot at present with temperatures in the high 30s & clear blue skies. The irony is that we still need rain desperately in Perth to fill our dams. we have had some enquiries regarding the Queensland & Carnarvon flooding that is being shown in the media coverage around the world. We would like to clarify that this unfortunate situation is affecting the eastern states of Australia & the northern most parts of WA only.

Here in Perth & surrounding areas we have no flooding at all & in fact are still in very dry drought conditions. There are no restrictions at all to any of our normal tour locations & with hot weather forecast again for the end of this week - 35 degrees celcius, our fine, sunny weather continues.

well last night was very exciting for our new Mercedes as we were given the job of driving Mark Webber, Daniel Ricciardo, Alan Jones, & Geoff Brabham from there hotel to the Festival of Speed function in Kings Park, & then back to their hotel.

They were all very friendly guys & so great as ambassadors of Australian motor racing. There were a number of comments made about how nice the new Mercedes Viano was. The back seats had been set-up to face each other, so that 3 people on each side could sit & talk to each other in comfort.

well it's now November & Christmas is approaching fast. We just wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone that December & January are great months to tour around our great state. Firstly it is our summer season so the weather is normally hot with clear blue skies expected on most days.With our school holiday season, it also means there are lots of activities happening & nearly all businesses are open for extended trading hours to capitalise on the additional traffic.

Because of the hot weather, it's really nice to travel in luxury in your own private vehicle, complete with your own driver & tour guide for total comfort & enjoyment. If you prefer to holiday without the crowds, now is the perfect time to book for February & March, which are still peak season for accommodation bookings. The weather will still be hot but the kids will all be back at school.
