New Norcia - Australia's only monastic town owned & run by Benedictine monks

Enjoy a very special day in this very unique town. Everything is provided for you - pick-up from your hotel at 8.30am & we drive to the lovely little town of Bindoon for a nice morning tea stop at the bakery cafe. We then drive on to reach New Norica by 10.30am. We buy your tickets for the guided walking tour, which takes about 2 hours & takes you behind the scenes into the monestary & the chapels & historic buildings, with painted ceilings & walls & ornate works of art. After the tour we take you up to the hotel, which looks like a Spanish hacienda, for a lovely lunch & you can try the monks ale or wine.

A magnificent part of our famous southwest! Albany is a city today of about 33,000 people with a rich history. Settled in 1826 by European settlers with a history of whaling & where 30,000 troops departed for the Great war & Gallipoli in 1914. Now has a wind farm to visit, as well as the Blow holes, Mount Melville lookout, & Middleton Beach boardwalk. Denmark settled in 1895 by European settlers & has many wineries & breweries & scenic river spots around the beautiful little town. Walpole was established in the 1930s as a group settlement for farmers, with timber milling developing soon after. Region is most famous for the giant red & yellow Tingle trees, many over 400 years old. Also now famous for the Valley of the Giants scenic drive through stands of Giant Tingle & Karri trees, as well as the Tree Top Walk - a suspended walkway through the towering canopy of the forest.
